Bristol City have declined to confirm that Banksy is to sponsor them, if as expected they are promoted to the premiership BUT friends say the he is in talks with them and that the deal is worth over £3 million. Banksy is said to have an opt out if Bristol City are relegated from the Premiership. Commentators have said that as now Banksy is a brand he may be trying to enter the lucrative Asian market. Jonathan Rubenstein of Brandism says," It makes perfect sense for Banksy. The Premiership has a worldwide audience of 6 billion. A stencil on the front of the strip would reach far more people than the side of a wall in Lower Clapton, Hackney. Also sales of replica kits would soar as fans and non-fans would rush to buy them."Sounds like a bit weird and feels like a hoax, but fair play to him if it happens - our shirts would look very cool next year! He's a regular so it makes sense but I've also heard that DAS are a done deal for shirt sponsors. The new Puma shirts that were due this month have yet to appear so you never know. Apparently there will be a retro 80's feel to them - COULD GO EITHER WAY THAT ONE! http://.www.canvastown.com/Banksy-to-sponsor-Bristol-City-for-%A33-million/B5.htm

They need to get there first... The wheels are beginning to look a little shakey unfortunately. Would be interesting to see what sort of shirt design they came up with. Ps...The Robins owe Barnsley a few beers for todays result i think
