Massive Attack, one of the UK’s most innovative and influential bands, curate the excellent Meltdown Festival at Southbank Centre this year, presenting a line-up that provides a fascinating insight into their musical and political influences. The eclectic list of performers, hand-picked by the band, includes roots legend Horace Andy, hip-hop futurists Dalek, rising stars Fleet Foxes and Aloe Blacc, international diva Grace Jones, firebrand punks Stiff Little Fingers and techno-pop pioneers Yellow Magic Orchestra. The Meltdown Festival runs from 14 − 22 June and to celebrate our role as media partner we have five pairs of exclusive passes to give away, allowing entry into every single performance. To win a pair of Golden tickets to the festival, simply enter via www.observermusicmonthly.co.uk/. Closing date: Midnight, Tuesday 20 May 2008 For more information on Massive Attack’s Meltdown, visit southbankcentre.co.uk/meltdown
