Bombin’ directed by Dick Fontaine was a documentary made for UK Channel 4, which was originally screened in 1987. The Bronx founders of the now ubiquitous street culture known as Hip Hop carry their message to the ghettos of Britain and find themselves close to-home. Co-produced and written with Pat Hartley, and members of the Hip Hop community on both sides of the Atlantic. The programme featured an artist called Brim Fuentes who was also a member of the bronx hip hop collective The Universal Zulu Nation who were lead by none other that Afrika Bambaataa. As part of Brim's visit, he came to Bristol and painted this piece on the back of the Malcolm X centre in St Pauls. The Balogun, I think maybe a reference to an infamous St Pauls councillor. If you look carefully, you'll see the quick Massive Attack 'throw up'. Here is a clip from the film, which features are Goldie and 3D painting a mural in the Birmingham Bull Ring -> Credits: www.imdb.com/title/tt1105264/www.flickr.com/photos/waltjabsco/1042152487/Download: www.megaupload.com/?d=5D4LG7AP
